Passwords

As an accountant, Julien regularly checks his company’s accounts on the website provided by the bank. For simplicity’s sake, he has chosen a weak password: 123456. This password was very easily reconstituted during an attack using an automated tool: the company was robbed of stolen 10,000 euros

Two simple methods can help you define your passwords:

choose passwords that are difficult to find using automated tools or to guess by a third party.

If possible, 12 characters of different types (upper case, lower case, numbers, special characters) with no link to you (name, date of birth…) and not listed in the dictionary.

• The phonetic method: “I bought 5 CDs for a hundred euros this afternoon”: ght5CDs%E7am ;
• The first letters method: “Allons enfants de la patrie, le jour de gloire est arrivé”: aE2lP,lJ2Géa!
